Word is that if you're around any of any of the noxious emissions or secretions comprising this week's installation of the alphabet of bad gases and other household hazards, you should run for cover, contact poison control, and seek medical attention immediately. A. Air Fresheners. Many contain Formaldehyde and Phenol. See here.

B. Bleach. Add its foe, ammonia, for liquid lungs and rapid death.
- To remember: "Bleach is "BAD." (Bleach + Ammonia = Death).
C. Carpet Shampoo. The strongest clean the carpet, lungs, and liver.
- To remember: Can't use as real shampoo. My sis has to live with the weight of the dog death caused by that little mistake.
D. Dishwashing Detergent. Most contain chlorine, which "attacks" many metals and plastics. Chlorine is more dangerous when water is added and temperature is raised. So, natch, it's perfect for diswashers! Indeed, looks like it's not just the heat of the dish water that's tormenting your Tupperware.
- To remember: try this unforgettable fact on for size-- Poison control says dishwashing detergent is the #1 household killer of children. See here for more info.
